***SAD UPDATE - KIRA ran out of time before we could find help for her and was Euthanised by heartstick along with several others at the pound. PLEASE help us keep this from happening again and consider adopting or fostering a dog from the pound. And if you are unable to add a dog to your household PLEASE take the time spread the word about at least one dog a week. It takes only a few minutes and could mean the difference between life and death for a Pound Hound***

This week's breed is the Chow Chow.

Every week a new breed will have the spotlight and the post will include a link to an informational site describing the breed, and a local adoptable dog of the featured breed.
If at all possible the dogs will be featured from the Mahoning or Trumbull County pounds.They are both extrememly high kill shelters and if the dogs are not adopted they will 100% be put to sleep on their respective Euthenasia dates or very soon there after.

Kira is a purebred black Chow Chow. She is very mild mannered and beautiful as can be. Her picture is currently unavailable but will be posted as soon as it is.
